To complete the Homeschool Test Form use the information here to verify your computer is ready as it relates to Pearson’s requirements. You can access the Pearson System Check and Browser download here. Remember your computer and Internet connection must meet the requirements which will be shown in the results. Students can only access the test through the Pearson Browser.

When you do the system check you will be shown the minimum  system requirements for the Stanford Achievement Test, Tenth Edition Online. After completing your System Check you will receive a status sheet for your computer.  If your system check fails, please use the print option to print the test results and contact someone local to review the results to see if they can assist you.  Please refer to the minimum requirements for the systems.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Click the Pearson link here or click the Pearson icon above to be taken to the Pearson website.
  2. You may want to visit the page "Frequently Asked Questions" to begin which is at the top in the blue bar across the top, or simply refer to it if you have a problem.
  3. Please DO NOT LOGIN,
    1. You will need to click on “Check Readiness”, this is on the blue toolbar near the top of the screen.
    2. After clicking on “Check Readiness” you do not need to enter an email address, if this box appears please click on “Skip this step”.
    3. Click the Blue Button labeled “Run System Check”.  Type in your name and click “Run Check”.  Your computer will now run the check and once completed you will receive a message of a “Successful System Check” or a “Failed System Check”.  If your system “Failed” then there may be steps that you need to take so that your computer can run a successful system check. We are unable to resolve most computer issues related to preparing for this online secure testing. If you have a computer issue we recommend you have a professional assist you.
    4. One simple area that may result in an item that must be fixed is you must have Internet Explorer 11 or higher for Windows, or Mac computer Safari version 10.1 or higher. Chrome and FireFox have not been supported in the past, however, Pearson Technical Support has assured NFC Academy that this year that warning can be ignored as browsers like Chrome and Firefox will be supported.

TAKE A LOOK AT HOW TO GET READY
Take a look at getting ready for the Stanford Achievement Test.

This video will show you how to do the steps for your system check and downloading the Pearson browser. The function of the Pearson browser is to restrict the computer from any access to other materials or websites, so we will not do the actual download as it will stop the video as it secures the computer for test taking.

We will also review for you the Homeschool Test Form which is required for all students taking the test with us. We will note to the parent, the downloads below and what you do with them on test day. You will run a system check on the computer that will be used for testing and show you what that should look like.  After that you will download the Pearson Browser which must be used to take the test.

You can follow the instructions to the left along with what is in the video for a successful system check and to download the browser.
